This summer the boys basketball team traveled to Greenville College, outside of St. Louis, to participate in team camp. The boys played in the top division and put on a good showing playing against some of the areas top high schools. Coach McGlothin felt that it was a good time to evaluate players and look at some new combinations. McGlothin said “Losing eight seniors means that we had to use this summer as a chance to evaluate each player, find strength and weaknesses, and how to best use them in the upcoming season. We also wanted to see what style would be the best fit for this group of boys.”
Along with playing basketball, the team got an opportunity to explore St. Louis. They spent one day at the Gateway Arch, The Lewis and Clark Museum, went to the Mills Outlet Mall, and watched the St. Louis Cardinals defeat the Phillies. Overall it was a great experience for the boys.
