Girls varsity track team competed at home Monday in a three team meet against Daleville and Alexandria. Several strong individual performances were turned in by Wes-Del athletes. Junior Aubrey Whitesell was a multiple winner. She took first place in both the Shot Put and Discus competitions. Other Wes-Del winners included Allison Wylie in the 100 meter hurdles and Jaci Knott in the 1600 meter run. Wylie recorded a fourth place finish in the 300 hurdles and Knott was also runner-up in the 800 meter race. Kamryn McGlothin finished second place in the 400 meter dash. Andrea Stoughton was second in the 3200 meter run. The relays were a bright spot for the Warriors. The 400 meter relay team of Malchow, Antrim, Wylie, and Bond finished second. The 1600 meter relay team also finished second in a very exciting race. That team consisted of Wylie, Antrim, McGlothin, and Knott. Charlotte Losh (Discus), Jalynn Gann (400m), Kim Losh (Shot Put), and Allysa Stoughton (3200m) all placed for the Warriors.
